I always used to love the idea of the Waterloo LRT. The thought of trains in our city was incredibly cool. Only by chance did I recently start to really dig in. But as I started to iterate through the logic I became increasingly convinced that it was a solution that simply won’t solve any of our problems it claims to, and that instead it was really just emotion that was being used to push it through. And even though I was late to the party, for which I apologize, I thought I would regret not sharing what I found.
I am only trying to protect Waterloo. I love this city. I think we have everything to become one of the great cities of the world. As long as we don’t screw it up.
I don’t know everything. I’m still learning. But as I iterate through the logic with others, I (and usually they) become more convinced that the logic is flawed and that it is only emotion driving the LRT forward. What do you think?
